Need a simple schedule template for Excel? These free templates can be used for daily schedules, weekly plans, hourly time blocks, and 10-minute or 15-minute task management.
Excel is useful when you want to make a schedule quickly without using a large project management tool. You can change the start date, adjust the time range, print the sheet, or rewrite the items to match your own work.
When working with Japanese companies, schedules are often checked by several people, such as managers, team members, clients, or administrative staff. A clear schedule with dates, times, tasks, and notes helps avoid small misunderstandings. It also makes meetings smoother, especially when the schedule needs to be printed and shared on paper.

Free Schedule Templates for Excel
You can download free Excel schedule templates below. The templates include daily schedules, 24-hour schedules, 10-minute and 15-minute schedules, and weekly schedules.
Some templates automatically set dates or times when you enter the start date or start time. Others are very simple and can be edited freely. I usually find the simple ones easier when the schedule keeps changing during the day.

Daily Schedule Templates
Daily schedule templates are useful when you want to manage one day in detail. They work well for office work, event preparation, training sessions, meetings, and task planning.
Daily Schedule Template 04 - 7:00 to 18:00

This is an A4 vertical daily schedule template created in Excel. The time range is from 7:00 to 18:00 in hourly blocks.
The table includes columns for location, content, remarks, and daily to-dos. The time is fixed, so if you want to use a different time range, you need to rewrite it yourself. It is simple, but that makes it easy to adjust.
24-Hour Schedule Template 06

This is an Excel template for a 24-hour time schedule. The design uses a green color and fits on an A4 sheet.
The default time range is from 8:00 to 7:00 the next morning. If you change the start time at the top of the template, the 24-hour time blocks are automatically adjusted.
The default items are “Task 1,” “Task 2,” and “Task 3.” You can rewrite them to match your work, such as staff names, projects, locations, or machines.
10-Minute and 15-Minute Schedule Templates
These templates are useful when you need to manage time more carefully. For example, they can be used for event operations, reception schedules, production work, interview slots, or short training sessions.
A common mistake is making the schedule too detailed from the beginning. If every small task is packed into 10-minute blocks, the sheet may look impressive, but it becomes hard to update. It is better to use detailed time blocks only where timing really matters.
15-Minute Schedule Template 08

This is an A4 vertical time schedule template created in Excel. Each hour is divided into 15-minute blocks.
The horizontal area is free to edit, so you can enter staff names, task names, rooms, locations, or work categories. It is a good format when hourly blocks are too rough, but 10-minute blocks feel a little too detailed.
10-Minute Schedule Template 09

This is an A4 vertical time schedule template created in Excel. Each hour is divided into 10-minute blocks.
The horizontal area can be used freely. You can enter the name of the person in charge, the task, the location, or any other item you need. This type is useful for tightly scheduled work, but it may be a little too detailed for normal office tasks.
Weekly Schedule Templates
Weekly schedule templates are useful when you want to see several days at once. They are suitable for weekly meetings, staff work plans, project schedules, and personal task management.
Weekly Schedule Template 01 - 30-Minute Blocks

This is a weekly time schedule template created in Excel. It lets you manage appointments and tasks in 30-minute blocks.
When you enter the start date, the dates and days of the week are automatically set for one week. When you enter a start time, the time blocks are set in 30-minute increments for 16 hours.
There is not much space in each cell, so it is better for short notes than long descriptions.
Weekly Schedule Template 02 - Hourly Blocks

This is a weekly schedule template divided into hourly blocks.
Enter the start date at the top, and the dates and days of the week are automatically set for one week. If you enter a start time, the time blocks are set in one-hour increments for 24 hours.
It is useful when you want to manage a full day, but do not need 30-minute detail.
Weekly Schedule Template 03 - Horizontal A4 Layout

This is a weekly schedule template with dates on the vertical axis and time on the horizontal axis.
When you enter the start date, the dates and days of the week are automatically set for one week. When you enter a start time, the time is set on an hourly basis for 17 hours.
This template is similar to Template 02, but it uses a horizontal A4 layout, which is easier to view when you want to compare several days side by side.
Weekly Schedule Template 05 - Simple Weekly Plan

This is a simple weekly schedule template without detailed time blocks. It is suitable when you want to plan roughly by day rather than by hour.
If you change the start date, the dates and days of the week in the table are automatically set. The input area uses ruled lines, so you can write your schedule freely.
Weekly Schedule Template 07 - Green Horizontal Layout

This is an A4 horizontal weekly schedule template created in Excel. When you enter the start date at the top, the end date and days of the week are automatically set.
The layout is simple and uses a green design. It is useful for weekly planning, team schedules, or a printed schedule for meetings.
How to Choose a Schedule Template
For normal office work, a weekly schedule or hourly daily schedule is usually enough. If you are managing an event, training session, reception work, or shift-like operation, a 10-minute or 15-minute schedule may be easier to use.
For Japanese business settings, it is also helpful to leave space for notes or remarks. People often need to write small updates by hand after printing, such as “changed,” “waiting for confirmation,” or “client requested.” A schedule that looks clean on screen but has no room for notes can be surprisingly hard to use.
Tips for Using Excel Schedules
Start with a simple version first. Add only the information you really need: date, time, task, person in charge, location, and notes.
If the schedule will be shared with other people, avoid using too many colors or complicated rules. A neat schedule that can be understood in a few seconds is usually better than a highly decorated one.
Excel is not always the best tool for large projects or real-time team management. But for printable schedules, small teams, one-day events, and weekly planning, it is still quick, flexible, and easy to adjust.
